Sunday Church
If you haven’t been to church for a long time, that’s OK! This guide will help you know what to expect.
Before you come
Our style is informal. You don’t need to get specially dressed up. Just wear what you would wear to the shops.
If you have children, you can bring them with you. If you are comfortable, at our morning service there is a dedicated kid’s program (up to the end of primary school), which your children are very welcome to join. Otherwise, feel free to bring them in to the service with you. If they make a bit of noise, that’s OK. We won’t mind.
If you want more information about the kid’s program, please contact us.
During the service
Our services are very relaxed, so don’t worry that you might accidentally do the wrong thing. Our services go for about an hour, and are similar to a community meeting, but with a few small extras.
The “strangest” things we do are to sing and to pray. But if you don’t feel comfortable joining in with that, that’s OK. Just listen.
Otherwise, the main thing we do is to hear from the Bible, and to listen to a talk which explains what we’ve heard.
No one will put you on the spot, or draw attention to you, or ask you to do anything you’re uncomfortable with. We certainly won’t ask for money! You are our guest, so just sit and enjoy the service.
If you need to get up at any time or use the facilities, feel free. We won’t be upset or disturbed.
After the service
After the service has finished, people leave if they need to, or they stick around and chat for as long as they want.
